When you have finished that chapter, you really envy the generations of students who had been taught medieval literature by the author. Designer Rina Singh of brand Eka kickstarted the day. Sporting an embellished black jumpsuit, newcomer Athiya Shetty exuded grace and charisma as she played a perfect muse to Namrata and closed the show for day 4.Models display creations by designer Aneeth Arora on the runway, recreated as a classroom, during the Amazon India Fashion Week in New Dellhi. Brand Ashima-Leena presented their collection that was influenced by the rich divine motifs of Persian carpets in a luxurious prêt collection titled "Fragrance of Persia".To go back to the beginning for I started this review, as Dante did his Comedy, in the middle of things Shaw guides us with steadfast certainty through the Florence of Dante’s boyhood, through his friendships and his political ambitions, through the larger picture of medieval Europe, and the rancour between papalists and imperialists. Aneeth’s show titled "Pippi Goes to Poppy Fields" was inspired by Pippi Longstocking, the protagonist of Astrid Lindgren’s eponymous series of children’s books.
Eka’s muses were artistes Philippe Decrauzat, Jeppe Hein, Alphonso Artiaco and John Paul Phillip whose artwork inspired the wood cutting band saw machine Manufacturers metallic highlighting on garments, layering opulence, and colour direction and pattern. . Prue Shaw’s Reading Dante is a joy. Her technique is an autoschediasm of traditional weaves which is catalyst in giving the classic drape a re-look via her signature anti-fit blouses in contrasting colours. Handwoven fabrics such as pashmina wool, khadi, lace, merino, cotton, chanderi, denims and angora wool reigned the collection in silhouettes ranging from loose dresses, reversible short and long jackets, anti-fit tops and more. The designer presented a line of shimmering occasion gowns, jumpsuits, separates, pant suits in her signature colour palette blacks, berries and reds. Shaw’s book grows in momentum, as does The Divine Comedy itself, and the finest chapter to be read and re-read many times alongside the poem is the final one on Dante’s language.’ Typical of Shaw’s breadth is that, while placing the episode firmly within the context of the Divine Comedy, she is also leading our minds into the version of Lord Tennyson, and the mindset of hero-adventurers like Captain Scott.
